Girl’s Hot Pink & Black Baby Announcement

I recently designed this baby announcement for an Evin Photography client. I love working on stuff for Evin because her photos are always so great and it helps to have lovely photos! The parents of little Grayson wanted a pink and black polka dot theme to match her new nursery. These were printed by White House Custom Colour on their metallic pearl paper- so dreamy! Love the way they turned out!

Me, on the other hand… well I need to learn how to take better pics of my work!! 😛

Minted Breakout Wedding Design Challenge

Long time no post, I know!! I’ve been working hard on some invite designs for a few fabulous brides… but out of respect for my clients I can’t share them until they are printed and in the hands of the couples’ guests!! Don’t want anyone to get sneak peaks of the pretty before they go out, ya know?

Our Christmas Cards

As dorky as it sounds I was super excited to design our Christmas Cards this year for our first year as husband and wife. Here’s what I came up with! I am ordering them through White House Custom Colour and they are printed on a pearlized paper. Holy Moly they are gorgeous! I’m so excited about them!!

the way the photo is blurred on the front almost makes it look like a hologram on the sparkly paper. LOVE

Will and Jenn’s Save-the-Dates

I’ve been doing alot of save-the-dates lately for Evin Photography! It’s so much fun to incorporate a couple’s engagement photo into their Save-the-date… it makes them so fun and personal! It always helps to get inspired by beautiful photos like Evin’s! I actually assisted her on this couple’s engagement shoot so I got a good feel of their personalities before I even started on their save-the-dates.

Will and Jenn are getting married next July at the Loveless Barn in Nashville! I wanted to incorporate a little of that southern, rustic feel into the save-the-date so I used a distressed stamped typeface, but I kept it chic in black and white which made their photo against the red barn really pop! This was designed as a postcard so half of the back side is empty for filling in the address… but I can also do flat cards with envelopes!

I definitely think Save-the-dates are essential when planning your wedding to let your guests know ahead of time about your wedding plans. Everyone likes to have a heads up so they can make their plans accordingly! 🙂 And doing a postcard like these is a cute AND affordable way to share the news with your guests! Not only do you save on printing, but you save on stamps! 🙂

Cards/Art Prints

This was a fun exercise for me. I just wanted a reason to be creative so I gave myself a challenge, come up with pieces based on some of my favorite bible verses. I really enjoyed doing something just for fun, just for me, just because. I like the way they turned out- I think they’d make great art prints or cards. 🙂

L&R’s Save-the-Date

A few months ago I did this Save-the-date for a client of Evin’s using some of the shots she captured of the couple during their engagement session. Great photography makes for a great backdrop for designing! I loved how these turned out- they ended up printing up 2 different postcard versions to send out to their guests. Aren’t they a great looking couple?

The back of both cards were the same- and held more information for their guests, the right side is left blank for the couple to fill in their guests addresses for mailing. I just love them!
